I thought the documentary was really good, a very real look into eating disorders. What it lacked, though, was the hope that more people recover than don't. It's so important for people to know that full recovery is possible and "Thin" didn't do that. It left on a note that eating disorders are horrible and people just keep relapsing forever. That's not the case for most people. Did you see the film?

My flat mate and I watched Thin together, she's very open that she doesn't understand why people would starve or binge or purge. I enjoyed the doc. It was good to see what happens in therapy sessions, hear the stories of the girls, it shows how eating disorders affect lives. I felt very sad at times.
I think it shocked my flat mate a little but I'm not sure she gained anything from it, other than to make me promise I wouldn't end up in a treatment centre.
I'd like to watch it again.

Yes, I think that sums it up. It might be a tad shocking for those who don't know much, but it doesn't make them understand eating disorders and the treatment process any better.
By the way, welcome back!
