Super Skinny MeExtreme weight loss is a dangerous game to play and millions of men and women are playing it everyday
A new documentary from BBC about weight loss
Dawn Porter, author of Diaries of an Internet Lover, is gaining attention again with her new documentary titled, Super Skinny Me: The Race to Size Zero. In it, the camera follows her as the 27 year old loses half of her body fat in the course of 2 months. She wants to highlight the dangers of the current trend of women starving themselves to death. BBC3 will present the film in mid-February to overlap with London Fashion Week. Then BBC2 will screen it as part of the Body Image Season. In the film, she worked with a team of Doctors, psychologists, nutritionists and a celebrity fitness instructor. This brought her from a size 12 to a BMI of 19. Read the original blog entry here.
