Journey From The Storm Within: 9 Steps to Eating Disorder Recovery

This guidebook is an important resource for those who are on their journey to recovery, as well as professionals who treat patients with eating disorders. The curriculum is designed specifically for those who struggle with eating disorders, body image issues or for women-empowerment groups.

SHED: Self Healing Through Education

SHED is an organization that educates people on anorexia, bulimia and compulsive overeating. It offers a variety of presentations and educational tools to the public, teachers and staff, students, colleges, conferences, women’s groups, churches, camps, hospitals, parents, Doctors and to those recovering.

Topics of these presentations include: the presenter’s personal story, media and advertising, for those who have a loved one struggling, breaking patterns related to eating disorders, disordered eating, as well as the 9 Steps Program that corresponds to her book (above).

Rachel is the president and founder of SHED, author of Journey From The Storm Within, public speaker of the above presentations, and a private practice counselor. Her work was inspired by her own struggle with eating disorders and she now leads support groups for those experiencing eating-related issues.
